How does the Schengen 90/180 calculator work?
For every date, Visa Tracker counts the days you were inside a Schengen country within the preceding 180-day window. You can stay up to 90 days in any rolling 180-day period. The counter on the Dashboard shows used / 90 and the next "free day" when your window rolls over.
Why does location tracking need "Always" permission?
Background location is required so the app can detect when you enter or leave a country even when the app is not open. Everything is processed on-device — no location data ever leaves your phone. You can revoke the permission at any time in iOS Settings.
What does "Import from Photos" actually read?
Only the GPS coordinates and date attached to each photo in your library. The actual image data is never read, stored, or transmitted. You can revoke Photos access in iOS Settings at any time.
How do I export my trips?
Open Settings inside the app and tap Export JSON, PDF, or CSV. You can then share the file via Mail, AirDrop, iCloud Drive, or any other share-sheet destination.
Can I sync my data across devices?
iCloud sync is not available in version 1.0. It is on the roadmap for a future update.
How do I delete all my data?
Settings → Danger Zone → "Delete All Trips" or "Reset App". Uninstalling the app also removes all stored data.
Is Visa Tracker legal / immigration advice?
No. Visa Tracker is a personal travel tracking tool. Always verify visa rules and Schengen regulations with the official authorities of your destination country.
