What Data We Access

Visa Tracker may request access to the following device features, only with your explicit permission:

• Location (Background): Used to automatically detect when you enter or leave a country. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to any server.
• Photo Library (Metadata Only): Used to reconstruct past trips by reading GPS coordinates and timestamps from your photo metadata. We never access, read, or upload your actual photos — only the location and date metadata.
• Camera: Used exclusively for scanning boarding pass barcodes and QR codes to automatically log trips. No images are stored or transmitted.
• Notifications: Used to send you local alerts about Schengen day limits and document expiry dates. Notifications are generated entirely on-device.

Data Storage

All trip records, documents, preferences, and calculated data are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Your data is protected by your device's built-in security features, including encryption and biometric authentication.

No Data Collection

Visa Tracker does not:

• Collect or transmit personal data to any server
• Use analytics or tracking frameworks
• Share data with third parties
• Display advertisements
• Create user accounts or require registration
• Use cookies or similar tracking technologies

No Tracking

Visa Tracker does not track you across apps or websites. We do not use any advertising identifiers, device fingerprinting, or cross-app tracking technologies. The app does not participate in any tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

Data Export

You can export your trip data at any time in JSON, CSV, or PDF format directly from the app's Settings screen. This gives you full control and portability over your data.

Data Deletion

You can delete individual trips, documents, or all data at any time from within the app. When you delete data, it is permanently removed from your device. Uninstalling the app also removes all associated data.

Children's Privacy

Visa Tracker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

Visa Tracker is a personal travel tracking tool and does not provide legal, tax, or immigration advice. Always verify visa requirements and travel regulations with the official authorities of your destination country.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and in the app update notes.
