Frequently asked questions

How do I start the 7-day free trial?

Open the app and tap Try Premium on any locked sound, or open Settings → Upgrade to Premium. The first time you start the subscription, Apple offers a 7-day free trial automatically. You will not be charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel any time from App Store → Subscriptions.

How do I restore a previous purchase?

If you reinstalled the app or are using a new device, open the app, tap Settings → Restore Purchases and sign in with the same Apple ID you used at purchase. Premium content will unlock within a few seconds.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us. Open App Store → Subscriptions, tap Quietude — Sleep Sounds, then Cancel Subscription. Your premium access stays active until the end of the current billing period.

How do I delete my account?

From inside the app, open Settings → Account → Delete Account. The app will confirm and then permanently delete your account and any data we hold about you (sign-in record, synced preferences) within 30 days. Cancelling your subscription is a separate step — see "How do I cancel my subscription?" above.

If you cannot access the app, email nicolaerbacci66@gmail.com from the address used to sign in and we will delete your account on your behalf.

The audio stops when I lock the screen — is this normal?

No. The mixer is designed to keep playing in the background and over the lock screen. If playback stops, please check that Background App Refresh is enabled for Quietude in iOS Settings → Quietude, and that the iOS Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is not muting media. If the issue continues, email us with your device model and iOS version.

I can't sign in with my email / Sign in with Apple

Make sure you have an active internet connection and the latest version of the app from the App Store. If you previously deleted your account, you will need to create a new one. For email sign-in, use the password reset link on the sign-in screen. For Sign in with Apple, check that the option for the app is enabled in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Sign in with Apple.

Can I use Quietude without an account?

Yes. Sign-in is optional. Without an account you can still play the free sounds, use the mixer, and start a Premium subscription. Signing in only unlocks cross-device sync of your favourites and preferences.

Does the app collect my data?

We collect only what is needed to operate the service — your sign-in email (if you choose to sign in), your subscription status from Apple, and anonymous crash and stability data. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers. See the full Privacy Policy for details.

Who do I contact for billing or refund requests?

All purchases are processed by Apple. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com and sign in with the Apple ID used to make the purchase. We do not have access to your payment details and cannot issue refunds directly.
