1. What we collect

BarkGuard collects only the minimum data required to operate:

• Your Amazon account identifier (to link your Alexa account)
• Your Ring device identifiers (to receive motion events)
• Motion event timestamps and subtype (e.g. "animal") from Ring

We do not collect, store, or process any audio or video from your Ring devices.

2. How we use your data

Data is used exclusively to:

• Forward Ring animal-motion events to your Alexa account
• Trigger Alexa Routines you have configured
• Maintain a short event log (automatically deleted after 30 days)

3. Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Data is transmitted between Amazon Ring and Amazon Alexa services only, within the Amazon ecosystem.

4. Data retention

Event logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days and then automatically deleted. Account tokens are deleted immediately upon skill deactivation.

5. Your rights

You can delete all your data at any time by disabling the BarkGuard skill in the Alexa app. To request manual deletion, contact us at privacy@erbacciltd.com.

6. Security

All data is stored on AWS (EU region) and protected by AWS security standards. Ring webhook requests are verified via HMAC-SHA256 signature before processing.
